Exploding seeds

Triggered by the heat from the sun these seed pods have a novel way of dispersing their seeds. They burst open with explosive speed and fling the seeds within several feet.

Although no where near as effective as using the wind or fruit for dispersal there is little energy wasted making fruit and the seeds themselves are relatively large and from what I have observed germinate very quickly.

I am not sure on the exact species if anyone has any suggestions please let me know in the comments below.

My calculations are fairly rough and rounded off. I figured that the seeds are ejected at 8 meters per second, 30kph or 18mph. Pretty fast for a plant.
